#0: Welcome to the Greatest Trainwreck on Earth
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Culture Cancer, they place where we're going to explore the social wrongs and sicknesses of that certain country in the Southeast Asia with such fancy nicknames and epithets, such as "Pearl of the Orient Seas", "Lost Eden", "The Largest Catholic Country in Asia", and now, "The Sick Man of Asia". Of course, we're talking about none other than the Republic of the Philippines, and from now on, we shall begin exploring the what really went wrong in here, in a country blessed with great biodiversity, pristine nature, and rich resources, which really means that just because you had a great starting point, doesn't mean you're gonna make it big.
Now, some of you there might think that this website is going to really be political. We won't deny that. If we are to explore the faults, flaws, and failures of this country, we need to peek into its politics. And some of you might say it will biased. We wouldn't guarantee that we will balance it out. When there's something wrong, we should call it out, and we will call it out. It doesn't matter who the hell it is, if its wrong, it will be pointed out. And some will complain that this site is in English, and you might say that it is unpatriotic, or that the stink of the country will be laid out to the foreigners, which might make fun of us. We say that it is intentional. We intend to show the seedier, more awful side of this country to other people from different parts of the world. After all, foreigners are more likely to see Filipinos in their countries as overseas workers who are steadfast and honest in their work, or that they will see that this country is another summer paradise to be visited to if they have any money to spare for a tropical vacation. In this blog, we will show them the other things that most Western mainstream media don't even care about to bother showing. In here, there will be no masters, no kings, no gods, but the awful truth.
